YORKSHIRE-BASED partner at EY, Katherine Bullock, has been appointed as the firm’s regional leader of UK private client services.

Ms Bullock will lead its private client services practice in Yorkshire as well as the UK regions and Ireland, after joining EY from PwC.

She will be based at the firm’s Leeds office, and has more than 25 years’ experience advising clients with “significant” financial interests across jurisdictions and generations.

She said: “EY places real importance on the role of entrepreneurial and mid-market business owners and I’m pleased to be joining such a talented team of private client specialists, who are dedicated to making EY the natural home for entrepreneurs and private clients in Yorkshire, the UK and worldwide.

“We’ve got great plans for helping our clients really maximise the economic upturn, working across our worldwide network with our global colleagues to support those with international interests. I’m looking forward to getting out there into the Yorkshire market and starting to help our business owner and private company clients solve their tax and wealth planning challenges.”

Stuart Watson, senior partner at EY in Yorkshire, commented: “Katherine’s industry leading expertise advising individuals, families and businesses, her proven leadership skills and ability to build long-term client relationships will help us deliver on our growth plans in Private Client Services.

“Katherine is the fifth new partner we’ve appointed in Yorkshire since the start of July, which illustrates the scale of our ambition in the region. By continuing to invest in our people, we’re targeting new growth opportunities.”
