Legal IT firm makes a Leeds move

A LEGAL IT company has launched ambitious growth plans after moving into a 3,000 sq ft office in Morley, near Leeds.

NETprotocol, which was founded in 2000 by Paul Walker and Mike Batters, have offices in Bury in the North West and Wakefield.

They are looking to double their staff numbers in the region over the next year.

NETprotocol provides cloud-based as well as on-premise IT solutions for law firms.

Mike Batters, technical director, said: “Through our time working closely with solicitors we built up a detailed picture of what a legal firm needs from first-class document storage and network security to business continuity and disaster recovery.

“As every firm is different, we have developed a technical team and solutions portfolio which enables us to offer a tailored approach depending on individual requirements.

“We work with any size of legal business, from small practices to Fortune 500 companies. And 15 years on, we are celebrating the 15th year of working with our very first client Hempsons, the largest specialist health and social care legal practice in the UK.”

The company also has its sights set on London, as many longstanding clients are based there.

“We were flattered to hear one of our clients refer to us recently as ‘the legal sector’s best-kept secret’,” said managing director Paul Walker. “We’ve established our reputation for providing premier and completely reliable IT solutions which allow legal professionals to concentrate on what they do best. With the help of our growing team in Yorkshire, we are looking forward to making the next 15 years our most successful yet.”
