Appointments: Nuffield, Clarion, Lupton Fawcett Denison Till

PRIVATE not-for-profit Nuffield Health York Hospital has strengthened its senior management team with the appointment of a matron.

Sally Pank takes charge of clinical care, and will be responsible for the clinical teams including radiology, wards, theatres and outpatients. She is also a member of the senior management team and is the director of Infection Prevention and Control at the hospital.

She joins Nuffield Health York Hospital from Harrogate District Hospital where she managed the rehabilitation and dementia provision for two years.

Prior to working in Harrogate, Ms Pank managed the Neurosurgical and Cardiothoracic teams at Hull NHS Hospital

Matthew Lamb, Nuffield Health York Hospital director said: “We are delighted to welcome Sally to Nuffield Health York Hospital. Having a Matron underpins the senior management team and helps give staff strong direction to staff. This strength in leadership is extremely important for us as it directly relates to the standard of care for our referred and self-pay patients.”

ASSOCIATE Kaira Clarehugh, who was recently named Trainee of the Year in the Yorkshire Legal Awards, has joined Clarion.

She joins from Needle Partners where she spent three years as a legal assistant and a trainee solicitor within its corporate and commercial divisions.

Prior to that, she worked as a legal executive for an international corporate law firm in Kuala Lumpur.

Ms Clarehugh joins the rest of the talent in Clarion’s corporate team, including associates Sarah Harrison and Rachael Stockley.

COMMERCIAL law firm Lupton Fawcett Denison Till, has announced that senior associate Amanda Simmonds, has been elected as the North East member of the Society of Trusts and Estate Practitioners’ Council.

The STEP Council is a volunteer committee within the STEP governance structure and the Council is responsible for electing members of the STEP Board. The Council is also responsible for advising the Board on strategy, education and ethics for STEP members and for lobbying public interest issues.

There are only ten UK members of the STEP Council. Ms Simmonds will represent more than 800 STEP members in the North East of England from the Scottish border, through Yorkshire and the East Midlands.
