New American diner throws down the gauntlet to Leeds

AN American diner is inviting guests to loosen their belts and take on a number of challenges after launching in Leeds.
Huckleberry’s Diner has opened on the High Street in Yeadon and is challenging those with a big appetite to get their teeth into the new menu.
The launch of the Yeadon restaurant follows on from the success of its original diner near Flaxton in York, which opened in 2012. Its food challenges such as Burger-Pockalypse, Slidergeddon and Man v Dog have attracted challenge eaters and TV programmes to the diner.
Huckleberry’s owners Jon and Sarah Rowlands have invested over £100,000 in the Yeadon site, which has capacity for up to 80 diners, and have created 10 jobs.
Mrs Rowlands said: “We’re very excited to be opening up our second restaurant in three years and hope the people of Leeds have the appetite for the fantastic menu and authentic American experience we have in store for them.”
