Appointments: Specialist People Services, Legatus Law, Transline Group

RECRUITMENT firm Specialist People Services, which is backed by private equity investor LDC, has announced the appointment of a group finance director.
Paul McNulty joins the firm with 20 years’ experience after qualifying as an accountant with EY. He replaces John Andrews who is moving to pastures new after 11 years with the Bradford business.
Chris Chidley, chief executive of SPS, said: “Paul joins SPS at an important time for the business. Not only are we on track for another strong year – having developed our offering significantly across the UK and internationally – but we are also continuing our diversification strategy as we look to target further expansion into new and exciting markets.

In its last financial year (March 2015), the SPS Group recorded a turnover of £116.5m, up 32 per cent year-on-year.
Bradford-based SPS owns recruitment services brands including Driver Hire Nationwide, the specialist transport and logistics recruiter; rail support services provider ISS Labour; training provider Driver Hire Training; eServices, which offers online people management services; and international arm Driver Hire Australia.

YORKSHIRE law firm Legatus Law has made two new appointments to its Leeds-based practice.
Joining Legatus are solicitor Mara Gosling and Huddersfield University graduate Siobhan Ritchie.
Ms Gosling joins from hlw Keeble Hawson, specialising in insolvency, turnaround and litigation.
Ms Ritchie joins as a trainee solicitor.
The practice, led by Rashmi Dubé recently moved to a 1,046 sq ft office.
Ms Dubé said: “The two new positions are an important part of the firm’s strategic growth plans.
“Mara brings with her a wealth of knowledge and experience, as well a commercial understanding of what businesses endure and what they need to protect their position and I am delighted to welcome her to the firm.”

RECRUITERS Transline Group have added Mark Granger to its team.
He joins the permanent recruitment division of the company which turned over £225m last year.
Prior to his appointment, Mr Granger was an account director for recruitment outsourcing firm PMP Recruitment.
Operations director Chris Birkby said: “We always go above and beyond for all of our clients – and this appointment will see us able to expand and enhance our permanent offering for clients, as well as pushing for new business too.
“Having developed the relationship with Mark, we are both excited and confident that now is the right time to refine our offerings in the Permanent Recruitment sector. I am excited for what Mark will bring to the table and look forward to working with him on this project.”
Mark will initially be based at Transline Group’s head office in Brighouse, West Yorkshire.
