A LEADING Sheffield leisure and entertainment organisation is making waves after announcing a business partnership with one of the region’s leading radio stations.

SIV, part of the Sheffield City Trust (SCT) Group, has teamed up with Hallam FM on an initial 12-month contract, meaning the city radio station will become the charity’s official radio media partner.

SIV runs various sports and leisure venues across the region including the Sheffield Arena, Sheffield City Hall, Ponds Forge International Sports Centre and iceSheffield. SIV’s primary aim is to improve the health and wellbeing of the people of Sheffield.

SIV and Hallam will work together on a variety of different projects over the course of their 12-month partnership, such as the Hallam FM Hero Awards. The awards will be held at Ponds Forge International Sports Centre, with SIV and Hallam looking to recognise local people that have done extraordinary things, as voted for by Hallam FM listeners. All money raised will go to UK charity, Cash for Kids.

Melinda Schofield, group sales at SIV, said: “This is a great opportunity for us and Hallam to work together on some fantastic projects.

“I’m very excited about the deal we’ve signed. Opportunities like this don’t come around all the time and I’m looking forward to being able to spread the word about SIV’s proactive role in developing Sheffield’s economic, cultural and sporting profile.”
