Digital agency makes fifth aquisition as is snaps up fashion business

FASHION-focused communications agency Label PR has been bought by a Yorkshire digital marketing company.

Manchester-based Label, which was founded in 2010 by Lee Bloor and has a London office, has become part of Huddersfield company Attercopia Group, its fifth acquisition in the past 13 months.

Label is Attercopia’s first PR acquisition and the deal takes staff numbers to more than 50. Attercopia, which has offices in Huddersfield, Edinburgh, Dundee and Chippenham, will retain Label PR’s head office on Swan Street in Manchester and it London base.

Attercopia chairman and founder Steve Harvey-Franklin, said: “I can really see the synergy between the Label PR business and what Attercopia currently offers. The service Label PR provides clients is well known within the industry and their specialist consumer PR skillset adds a new dimension to what we as a group can deliver.

Harvey-Franklin said he is looking for further acquisition targets to boost the group.

Through the acquisition of Label PR, the Attercopia Group’s clients include Samsung, Rightmove, Very, TD Direct Investing, Future Fit, Transform and Fragrance Direct.

Following the deal acquisition, there have been a number of promotions and new hires at Label. PR director Almina Kadic-Wilson has become PR & Creative Director, Jessica Thornton has moved up from senior account manager to account director, while Sophie Allen has become digital engagement manager, having previously been senior digital account executive.

Meanwhile, Sarah Raynard and Charlotte Waller have joined s PR account executives alongside Laura Rogan who joins the agency as digital executive.
