Fashion retailer adds Leeds store to portfolio

FASHION retailer Oliver Bonas has signed on the dotted line for a prime city centre location in Leeds.
The fashion, jewellery and homeware business has signed a 10-year lease for a site at 50 Albion Street.
It is a 2,250 sq ft site on the shopping thoroughfare linking Leeds’ main retail sectors.
This comes following the announcement that a major restaurant scheme was in the works for the corner of Albion Street and Bond Street, where Next Clearance is currently a tenant.
Colliers International’s Retail Agency team has secured the deal for the retailer.
Oliver Bonas has more than 50 stores in the UK with plans to expand further over the next 15 months.
Olivia Hughes of Colliers International, who advised Oliver Bonas on the letting commented: “This deal sees Oliver Bonas’ expansion plans to acquire space in strong regional retail markets gather pace and follows the opening of a new store in York in October 2015.
“Oliver Bonas has plans for further expansion and we have been given a target of acquiring around 10 stores nationally over the next 12 to 15 months.
“Leeds, with its evolving retail offer, was the natural next step for Oliver Bonas as the brand fits well with the varied demographic mix of the city. 50 Albion Street will undergo an extensive refit before opening end of March 2016”
Colliers International represented Oliver Bonas whilst Central Retail acted for the landlord, Town Centre Securities Plc.
