£155m turnover performance for EMIS following triple acquisitions

AN “encouraging outlook” is predicted for health software business EMIS Group after an acquisitive year.
For the year to 31 December 2015, revenue increased to £155.9m, up 13% from the year before when it turned over £137.6m
In July 2015, the business announced it had acquired technology business Pinbellcom for £3.0m.
The £1.2m-turnover company’s founder Edward Bellamy joined the EMIS team in the deal, which was EMIS’s third in a year.
The business bought Indigo 4 in July 2014, and Medical Imaging in December 2014.
Despite ongoing cuts to the NHS, EMIS are confident that the digital side will not suffer, with NHS England announcing that the use of digital technology could create savings of £8.3bn to £13.7bn a year by 2020.
Chris Spencer, chief executive officer of EMIS Group, said: “EMIS Group has again reported good underlying profit growth in line with the Board’s expectations, derived from a mix of organic and acquisitive growth.
“Our outlook is encouraging, with strong revenue visibility, growing market shares, and good momentum in our order books and pipelines.
“The NHS remains supportive of EMIS Group’s strategy of delivering digital technology allied to cultural change that will help create faster, cheaper and better care.”
