Manufacturer on expansion drive with £1m investment

SHOWER tray manufacturer JT is ploughing £1m into the business to support new product development and staff training following year of growth.

Leeds-based JT has revealed plans for new manufacturing capital investment as well as staff training and a new apprenticeship scheme. It said the record investment will strengthen its manufacturing capability and team skills, creating a state-of-the-art site that will deliver innovative, design-led products to the UK bathroom market.

The investment in technology, worth approximately £1m, will support planned new product development over the next 12 months.

Founded in 1988, JT now makes one in five shower trays for the UK. It said the seven figure investment will further enable the JT brand to meet the growing demand from both UK and international customers.

Paul Crossley, managing director of JT, said: “This investment is the projection of our proud 26 year history and will not only build on our quality service to our customers, but also lead the market in design and innovation.

“We have ambitious growth plans and this investment will support the ambition of our multi-skilled team.”
