Appointments: Senior solicitor joins family law team; Director hire for seafood giant; Presidential role for clinical negligence specialist

SAMANTHA GUNNELL has joined Lupton Fawcett Denison Till’s family and divorce team in York.

Ms Gunnell specialises in divorce, financial settlements, children issues and cohabitation and property disputes between unmarried couples.

Her appointment follows on from the retirement of Mark Hepworth, who was with the firm for more than 40 years.  The York family law team will now be managed by Nicki Mitchell, a family law specialist solicitor, collaborative family lawyer and family mediator.

Adrian Greaves Youngs SeafoodsYOUNG’S Seafood has appointed a director to drive the growth of the company’s foodservice division.

Adrian Greaves has previously held a number of senior and board level positions representing foodservice across United Biscuits, Heinz UK and McCain GB.

Most recently he has led his ownfFoodservice consultancy.

CLINICAL negligence specialist Natalie Cosgrove of hlw Keeble Hawson has been appointed president of the Sheffield & District Law Society.
 
Having successfully completed terms as vice president and deputy vice president, her remit as president spans South Yorkshire’s legal profession and wider local community. She is committed to working with the society’s committee to support local lawyers by representing members’ interests and helping members of the public.

The solicitor, who has special expertise in birth injury and vulnerable patients, joined hlw Keeble Hawson in January 2015 and holds civil and criminal Higher Rights of Audience.

She said: “I have worked with the Sheffield & District Law Society for several years so am delighted to have been elected president. My focus for the year ahead will be on the local community and campaigning for South Yorkshire lawyers on issues that are close to their hearts.

“Another priority is to promote my chosen charities of the year, Sheffield Mencap and Gateway and Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice. With this in mind, the full diary of events and social evenings that are the Law Society’s lifeblood will also serve as fundraisers for these excellent local causes.”
