Group managing director bows out six months early

THE group managing director at communication services firm Communisis, Dave Rushton, is leaving the firm six months early. The company announced in February that it was making the role redundant after a structural change in the business that would see divisional managing directors report in to a chief executive.
Mr Rushton and colleague Nigel Howes were reportedly leaving the business in January 2017, and both had already stepped down from the board on 31 January 2016.
Now, Communisis has said that by “mutual agreement” Mr Rushton will step down from 30 June 2016, and said that his entitlement to salary and other benefits will only accrue to this date.
In February, the company said the board changes were part of “succession planning” and “to establish a structure appropriate to the next phase of growth.”
Mr Rushton has been with the Group for more than 11 years.
Peter Hickson, chairman of Communisis plc said at the time:”The Board is grateful for the considerable contributions made by both Dave and Nigel over many years. They have each committed a significant portion of their professional lives to the development and growth of our Group. On behalf of the Board, we wish them both well for the future.”
