Charity: Property professionals climb high; Society cyclists ride 70 miles for good causes; Solicitors tackle obstacle course for Support Dogs

TWENTY-FOUR staff from the Leeds and Newcastle offices of commercial property consultancy Lambert Smith Hampton (LSH) have completed the Langdale 10 hiking challenge in the Lake District, raising money for chosen charity the Alzheimer’s Society.

The 15 mile challenge saw the LSH team scale a total of ten peaks within the Langdale Valley, in just over nine hours. All ten peaks are over 2,000 ft in height, with the total climb in excess of the ascent of the Yorkshire 3 Peaks challenge the LSH team completed in 2014 and 2015.

Setting an initial target fundraising total of £2,500, the team has now raised more than £3,000 for the Alzheimer’s Society.

Taylor and Emmett Support DogsFUNDRAISERS from Sheffield solicitors Taylor&Emmet will be tackling the city’s most colourful obstacle course this weekend on behalf of annual charity Support Dogs.

Three runners from the firm’s Arundel Gate office are lacing up their trainers in preparation for the Colour Obstacle Rush, held at Rother Valley Country Park on Saturday.

Personal injury specialist John Green, marketing coordinator Jenni Arundale and conveyancing legal secretary Elsa Russell, are joining forces to support Taylor&Emmet’s annual charity.

The team will face 20 diverse obstacles, ranging from giant slides, inflatables and sponge balls during the five kilometre course, while being doused in powder at eight colour stations.

All money raised by the trio will be added to Taylor&Emmet’s final total and handed over to Support Dogs at the end of the year. The Sheffield-based charity uses donations to provide, train and support specialist assistance dogs for people with autism, epilepsy and physical disability.
