Caddick in gear for £3.8m Jaguar Land Rover deal

YORKSHIRE’S Caddick Construction has won a £3.8m contract to build a Farnell Jaguar Land Rover showroom at an existing car dealership site on Sheepscar Way in Leeds.

Caddick Construction, appointed by Vertu Motors, has started work on the 105,000 sq ft project.

The team is scheduled to be on site for 26 weeks with the completion due in December.

The refurbishment programme will see the demolition of the former Mini showroom and the conversion of the existing BMW Showroom to a new Farnell Jaguar Land Rover showroom.

Andrew Murray, managing director at Caddick Construction, said: “It’s great to see that our automotive portfolio continues to grow and flourish. We’re really looking forward to working with Vertu Motors again. We have a wealth of experience to draw on and the Jaguar Land Rover showroom will be visually impressive whilst meeting expectations of customers.”

Andy Johnson, group property director at Vertu Motors, said: “We’re thrilled to be bringing a new Farnell Jaguar Land Rover showroom to Leeds to complement our existing dealerships in the area.  Caddick has great credentials in the automotive sector and I’m certain the completed showroom will stand-out.”
