Vehicle rentals group expands again with eighth location

VEHICLE rentals group AMT, which moved into its headquarters on Armley Road in Leeds last year, has expanded again with the launch of its eighth UK location.

Its latest base in Brentford, Middlesex, is its third in the South East.

The 13,000sq ft location represents a £750,000 investment by AMT and follows the opening of its facility near Manchester last December and one in Birmingham which opened in March.  

With a fleet of over 1,500 prestige and specialist vehicles, AMT has grown into one of the UK’s leading independent vehicle rental companies with locations reaching from the South East to Scotland.

Last summer, AMT Group moved from its Morley into a 52,000sq ft headquarters on a two acre site on Armley Road representing a £2m investment.  

The company completed a four month build programme to transform part of a vacant printing works into 25,000sq ft of office space, plus housing for 120 vehicles, including an in-fleet area for vehicle preparation.  The site also features a show forecourt for its prestige cars sales operation and there are plans to redevelop a second building on the site into a glass-fronted car sales showroom.  The new facilities doubled AMT Group’s former capacity, giving additional space for the Leeds team which has now grown to 65 people.

Established in 1995, AMT Group is a privately owned business which employs 190 staff around the UK.
