Record turnover for fast-growth law firm

LAW firm Mills & Reeve, which has offices in Leeds, Birmingham and Manchester, has announced record turnover of £87.2m.
This was an increase of more than £5.5 million on last year, as the 900-strong firm with six UK offices continues to grow.
The staff bonus pool has grown to £1.28m, or 5.2% of the firm’s wage bill as a result.
The Leeds office of Mills & Reeve has grown over the last 12 months with the appointment of corporate partner Paul Johnson from Irwin Mitchell as well as Shubhu Patil as principal associate and Anna Gausden as an associate.
The team has acted on a number of deals including the acquisition of an education business by Servoca in a £3.1m deal and the sale of Harrogate business JSC International to a major consultancy .
The Leeds private wealth team welcomed partner Andrew Playle from Bond Dickinson, joined by senior associate Ellie Milner and associate Rachel MacIntosh.
