First North American deal for Tracsis

TRANSPORT software and services business Tracsis has signed a deal with a North American railroad operator, its first in the region.

The listed business, which provides data capture, reporting and resource optimisation services, will deliver its remote condition monitoring technology to the unnamed Class 1 operator.

The deal is worth $400,000, and sees Tracsis enter a market that it considers the “largest and most accessible” for its products.

It will be completed by the end of 2016.

John McArthur, chief executive officer, commented: “We are delighted to have secured this significant order with a major class 1 operator having clearly demonstrated the business case and benefits of our remote condition monitoring technology.

“We are hopeful that this contract will lead to a further roll out across the client’s network in the fullness of time and also act as a valuable reference case with other US rail customers.”
