Packaging firm gets £2m funding to relocate

A YORK-HEADQUARTERED packing, print and design business is relocating and investing in new equipment following a £2m funding package.

YRG Eclipse, part of the York Repro-Graphic Group, which supplies services to blue chip clients including Cadbury, Kellogg’s, Hovis Bread, Dulux and Pizza Express, has teamed up with Yorkshire Bank for its move.

The business has acquired and refurbished a site in Cottingham, East Yorkshire.

The site is equipped with print and plate processing technology, as well as specialist machinery to process solvents and reduce waste.

YRG was founded in 1974 and operates six sites across the UK, Ireland and Kenya.

The Yorkshire Bank deal was delivered by relationship manager Jeremy Bowers, who has known the directors of the business for over 25 years.

YRG’s managing director, Mark Gration, said: “We have built an enviable reputation for producing high quality sales samples for use in product development, test marketing and advertising campaigns.

“Investing in a new facility dedicated to producing outstanding mock ups even more quickly and efficiently will help us to grow our client base and hopefully create new jobs.

“Yorkshire Bank’s knowledgeable team has been integral to our expansion plans. We look forward to working in partnership with Yorkshire Bank as we continue to develop and grow.”

Rick Warburton, head of the North Yorkshire Customer Banking Centre, said: “We’re pleased to be supporting YRG and look forward to working in partnership with its management team.

“It’s especially rewarding to know that we are helping a Yorkshire business to put the region’s skills and technology on the worldwide map.”
