Entertainment group CEO steps aside after 9 months

THE chief executive of York-based attraction operator Paragon Entertainment has once again stepped aside from the role.

It was announced that chief executive and co-founder of Paragon, Mark Pyrah, was stepping down originally in September 2014, to focus on group-wide sales activities, but he continued in the role on an interim basis until a replacement was found.

Mr Pyrah was appointed chief executive for the second time in December 2015.

Now he is standing aside to enable chief operating officer John Dobson to take over the role.

Mr Pyrah will move into the role of development director.

Mark Taylor, executive chairman of Paragon Entertainment said: “As we have become increasingly confident about the sustainability of Paragon’s growth, the board has decided that it would be wise to further strengthen management for the future.

“John Dobson is ideally positioned to lead management best practice and release Mark Pyrah to focus on his passion and propensity for sales and business development.”
