Accountancy firm buys office building

ACCOUNTANCY firm Parsons has bought a 3,258 sq ft office building in West Yorkshire as part of its ongoing expansion.

The Leeds office of Knight Frank advised on the sale of the building at Silkwood Office Park in Wakefield, which was bought for £330,000.

Knight Frank advised the vendor, Dorset-based NM Pensions Trustees.

Ian Parsons, managing director of Parsons Chartered Accountants, said: “We bought the building as our practice is expanding rapidly. We now employ 14 people and we have run out of space for additional staff.

“The building itself is ideally located being two minutes from the M1 and close to the M62 for easy access to our clients in East Yorkshire, North Yorkshire and Lancashire. It has 14 parking spaces, which is very useful.”

Elizabeth Ridler, partner and office agency specialist at Knight Frank, said: “This was an excellent deal, which suited all parties. It underlines the strength of the location, so close to the hub of Yorkshire’s superb motorway network, and proves that the Yorkshire property market is still strong, despite the post-Brexit uncertainty.”

Yorkshire-based property consultancy Michael Steel advised the purchaser.
