York shopping park gets in the festive spirit after £3.5m investment

YORK’S McArthurGlen Designer Outlet is getting into the Christmas spirit after the completion of a £3.5m programme of improvement.

The outlet shopping park has invested in improving visitor experience through lighting, signage and facades, and an all-round refresh, carried out by Atlas Refurbishment Northern.

An additional £500,000 was spent on improving the car park and landscaping at the site.

The recently launched UGG Australia store has been a new addition to the centre, while a new Armani Exchange has brought the best of the Italian brand to Yorkshire.

Swarovski has moved to a new 742 sq ft unit, with accessories brand Fiorelli also has a new store, stocking its own handbag lines along with those from Modalu and Nica.

Festive pop-up stores this year include Calendar Club and Yankee Candle as well as the M&S Gift Shop.

In November the centre will welcome two new additions to the menswear offering in the form of Lyle & Scott and Luke, and a new Krispy Kreme.
