Yorkshire up-and-comers make the list for Chambers UK 2017
FIVE Yorkshire-based partners made the Chambers up-and-coming lists this year.
Chambers and Partners, which compilate an annual ranking of lawyers, has identified several Yorkshire-based experts who they think will be ones to watch this year.
Among these include Alistair Scott-Somers, who was leading the corporate team at Bond Dickinson until he moved to become a director at Progeny Law last month (October 2016). His clients included NVM Private Equity, McCain Foods and Mobeus Equity Partners.
New to the list also was Joseph Hale, a partner at Freeths who recently moved from Addleshaw Goddard where he had been transferred with the rest of his team from Hammonds. Specialising in construction Mr Hale was described as “diligent, thorough and knowledgeable” by the guide.
Partner James Hyde who works in the Leeds office of Eversheds also got a nod. His work covers Ofcom and PpP investigations, artificially inflated traffic and cyber-security/data breach claims among other things, and has previously been on secondment at a telematics plc.
Last but not least, Zoe Round a partner at Irwin Mitchell was highlighted for her work in the family sector. Chambers called her “down to earth and practical”.
