£140m construction group appoints CEO from Carillion

£140M-TURNOVER privately-owned construction and logistics company the Clugston Group has hired its new chief executive officer from Carillion.

Bob Vickers will commence his role as group chief executive of Clugston in February 2017.

He joins the Scunthorpe-based group from construction giant Carillion where he was a director in Carillion Construction Services. He has previously held roles at Wimpey Construction, Morrisons, Anglian Water Group, Gleeson Building and Balfour Beatty.

He is a member of the Chartered Institute of Building and a Life Member of the Institute of Directors.

Mr Vickers will replace Mr Stephen Martin, who will take up the position of director general at the Institute of Directors in February 2017, having led the group for 10 years.
