Saint Petersburg Classic Ballet returns to Sheffield with a production of one of the best-loved Russian ballets, Swan Lake. With intricate choreography, dazzling costumes, stunning sets and live orchestra, Tchaikovsky’s tragic tale is set to be brought by ballet to life this weekend.

Location: ScrapStore, Dairycoates Avenue, Hull

As part of Hull City of Culture, the city will be hosting a series of educational craft workshops designed to inspire families to make a difference to their community. Set in a pretend factory environment Re-made in Hull is aims to increase environmental awareness through immersive and experimental workshops. Each workshop will focus on different elements of reclaimed waste with the option of making creations using more than 1,000 resources from the ScrapStore warehouse.

Sutton bank 3. Sutton Bank Bikes
Date: Every Friday, Saturday & Sunday
Location: Sutton Bank & Dalby Bike Barn, Dalby Forest, North York Moors

Why not get out and embrace the fresh air this January with these bike rides through the scenic trails of the North York Moors? With two recreational cycle centres catering for all sizes and abilities to choose from, everyone can be involved in a bit of high adrenaline off-road riding this weekend.

Date: Saturday 14th January
Location: Leeds Town Hall

With music by Mozart, Strauss and Schumann, the evening is set to be a relaxing and magical way to spend your weekend. Orchestral concert begins at 7:30pm with a pre-concert talk from Catherine Tackley at 6:45pm.

Dickinson5. Dickinson’s real deal
Date: Saturday 14th January
Location: York Racecourse, Racecourse Road, York

Uncover your antiques, find your collectables and come along to Dickinson’s Real Deal this weekend! Come and meet David and the Dealers for a free day out of all things antique. Guests will also receive a free valuation of their antiques and collectables and may have a chance to sell them for cash too. Doors will open between 8:30am – 5pm.
