Finance director steps down at Renew

Engineering business Renew has announced that its group finance director will be stepping down after a decade in the company.

John Samuel will step down to “pursue new opportunities”. He will remain in post for the duration of his 12-month notice period or until a new finance director is appointed.

Last year long-standing chief executive Brian May also stepped down and was replaced by Paul Scott in December.

Leeds-based Renew has been on the acquisition trail for a number of years, and celebrated record revenues of £525m last year. It also acquired £22m-turnover Giffen Group.
