CODA opens Spanish base

FINANCE systems specialist CODA has announced it is opening an operation in Madrid that will provide local support and services to new and existing Spanish customers.

The Harrogate-based group creates, markets and implements a comprehensive range of software systems designed specifically to meet the needs of financial directors and finance departments.

The Madrid office will be CODA’s first direct operation in Spain and increases CODA’s direct presence to 15 countries worldwide.

The office has been set up alongside sister company CCS Agresso, a division of CODA’s parent company Unit 4 Agresso.

CCS Agresso is already very active across Spain with 11 offices around the country, and CODA will benefit from the use of CCS support resources and local expertise.

Chief executive Jeremy Roche said: “This is another direct benefit of being part of the Unit 4 Agresso Group. CCS Agresso is very active in Spain, and although CODA has customers in Spain, we have never had the opportunity to open our own direct operations. We are keen to invest in our service provision to customers in Spain and a local CODA support desk and dedicated service team will benefit them hugely. We see further opportunities in Spain which we will be well placed to respond to going forward.”

CCS Agresso is the Spanish subsidiary of the Unit 4 Agresso Group and is a leading domestic and European vendor of business software.

CODA Spain will begin operating from January 2009.

The group was founded in 1979, has around 600 employees working around the world.
