Clegg triumphs in Y Factor 2010

ENDLESS managing director Chris Clegg triumphed in Y Factor 2010 as the event raised more the than £30,000 for Mencap.

Mr Clegg won by just two votes ahead of Mike Allen, relationship director at Royal Bank of Scotland, and Xavier Woodward, director of corporate finance at KPMG.

The event was sponsored by Walker Morris, Euler Hermes, Lloyds TSB Corporate Markets acquisition finance and Lloyds TSB Commercial Finance and was hosted by TheBusinessDesk.com editor David Parkin.

It featured performances from Tony Norwood of LDS, Glenn Solan and Jenny Hopkins from Grant Thornton, Jonathan Thompson from Santander and John Holden from Gordons in front of audience of more than 400 people.

An expert eye was offered on the performances at The Wardrobe, in Leeds, by a panel of judges including Nicki Allen, senior vocal coach at Leeds College of Music.

The fundraising total is more than £5,000 higher than last year’s event and will be used to support Mencap’s work with people with learning disabilities, their families and carers.
