Galliford Try secures place on £330m Yorkshire Water scheme

CONSTRUCTION group Galliford Try today announced that it has been appointed as one of four partners on a £330m Yorkshire Water scheme.

Work will include major upgrades to water and waste water treatment works as well as schemes to improve the quality of bathing water on the East coast of Yorkshire to meet the revised Bathing Water Directive.

The first two schemes will see Galliford Try and AECOM upgrade the Acomb Landing water treatment works in York and Caldervale waste water treatment works in Wakefield at a combined value of £25m.

Chief executive Greg Fitzgerald said: “We are delighted to be able to continue our longstanding relationship with Yorkshire Water with a service for their Large Schemes framework.”
