Hitachi Capital appoints divisional MD

LEEDS-based Hitachi Capital Consumer Finance has strengthened its team with the appointment of a new divisional managing director.

Gerald Grimes joined the group in 2007 as head of sales and has more than 20 years experience in the financial services industry.

In his new role as divisional managing director, Mr Grimes will be responsible for managing the consumer finance team and supporting existing customers.

Chief Executive David Anthony said: “Gerald’s knowledge and understanding of the consumer finance sector, coupled with his proven success in managing sales teams, is a perfect fit for our future growth plans as we expand the business.”
