Latest Appointments: New centre director for Meadowhall, Forgemasters appoints and more

BRITISH Land has appointed Darren Pearce as Meadowhall’s centre director, replacing Mohammed Dajani who stepped down at the end of December.

British Land, which owns the Sheffield-based shopping centre, has promoted Mr Pearce from the position of finance director, a role he has held since 1994.

Claire Barber, British Land senior asset manager for Meadowhall, said: “We congratulate Darren on this appointment.

“His combination of financial experience, strategic vision and passion for the business makes him the perfect candidate to become Meadowhall’s new centre director.”

SHEFFIELD Forgemasters has appointed an industry health and safety specialist to its subsidiary, Vulcan Engineering Services.

Ian Frost joined from Firth Rixon and has more than 14 years of experience in the health and safety field.

In his role Mr Frost will be responsible for ensuring that health and safety on Vulcan contracts is in full compliance with regulations and managing a project engineering team.

Ian Gerard, director of Vulcan SFM, said: “Ian has a wealth of industry experience, which is absolutely invaluable for this position.”

CENFRA, the Centre for Food Robotics and Automation, has boosted its team with the appointment of Philip Brunger as audit engineer.

In his role at the Doncaster-based company, Mr Brunger will be responsible for carrying out audits with companies in the food and drink sector.

Mr Brunger said: “This is an exciting role in an important initiative and I am delighted to be a part of it.”

YORK-BASED design and communications group, Scarlettabbott, has appointed a new studio director.

Gary Henderson joined the agency from Engage Group, and has more than 20 years experience in design.

Managing director Jonathan Abbott said:  “We have achieved significant growth in the last two years and are confident that Gary will play a crucial role in growing new accounts in publications and magazines.”
