Specialist training venture launched

A TRAINING venture has been launched by two businesses that will offer specialist training in a wide range of industries.
Business development and communication specialists Square 5 has teamed up with industry experts UK Pipelines to offer flexible, convenient and specialist training courses.
Sheffield-based UKP Training was launched by business partners Lawrence Kieran, Emma Tiernan and Mark O’Reilly who collectively have experience of working in a wide range of industries including healthcare, marine, manufacturing, water and drainage, automotive and the public sector.
The two Sheffield companies teamed up earlier in the year to deliver WADE 2010 – a water and drainage exhibition – and have continued to develop their business relationship with the launch of UKP Training.
Lawrence Kieran, managing director of UK Pipelines, said: “We are looking forward to working with Square 5 on UKP Training and WADE 2011 and developing the great partnership we have. Working in partnership allows us to take real advantage of each other’s strengths and experiences.”
Emma Tiernan, director of Square 5, said: “We’re extremely proud of what we’ve achieved so far and the huge interest we’ve had in the courses. UKP Training has the potential to offer real career progression and training solutions for employers.
“This investment allows us to make a substantial commitment in the training sector which has significant growth opportunities in Sheffield.”
