THE global weight management programme brand, The Cambridge Diet, has appointed the Leeds-based strategic and creative agency, Propaganda, to develop their brand, following an agency review that also involved two other London-based agencies.

The appointment follows a successful period for The Cambridge Diet, both in the UK and internationally.

The Cambridge Diet stems from the early 1960’s when Dr Alan Howard, then a research scientist at the University of Cambridge, developed an interest in weight and obesity.  The diet was launched commercially in the USA in 1980 and has been available in the UK since 1984.

Propaganda director, Mike Phillipson said “We are really pleased to have been appointed. The Cambridge Diet is a well known brand that now has the opportunity to become even more iconic and relevant in a sector that is fast moving and always changing.”
