New £1m Farnell dealership to open
A STATE-of-the-art £1m Range Rover and Land Rover dealership, which will create more than 15 new jobs, is to open its doors to customers in the New Year.
Farnell Bradford, part of The Co-operative Motor Group, was one of the very first Land Rover dealerships in the world and it is set to relocate premises from its existing location to Canal Road in Bradford.
It will create one of the largest Land Rover showrooms in the UK.
The new site will house nine new models with the ability to demonstrate features such as the in car entertainment and satellite navigation systems due to specialist indoor battery technology.
More than 40 approved used vehicles will also be displayed under a purpose built canopy.
It will also have a dedicated business centre, housed in a separate self contained showroom at the rear of the building, for corporate customers to receive expert advice on their business vehicles.
Operations manager Jatinder Aujla said: “Farnell was one of the world’s first ever Land Rover dealers and now it will create one of the very best dual branded Range Rover / Land Rover dealerships to add to our existing sites in Guiseley and Central Leeds. We expect to deliver over 1,700 new and 1,200 used vehicles in 2011 between the three sites.
“Our total investment in Bradford will be in excess of £1m and we will be creating over 15 new jobs. However, our main aim will be to provide exceptional customer facilities and a level of care that can only be matched by the very best retail organisations.”
