Atlantic Global looks for acquisitions

SOFTWARE group Atlantic Global today said that it is keen to build relationships with international partners and is also continuing its hunt for acquisitions.

The Cleckheaton group is confident after delivering a 40% rise in pre-tax profits to £401,000 in the year to December 31 and managing director Eugene Blaine said it was a solid performance with the group confident it can improve its profits growth this year.

The specialist provider of integrated business and resource management software which has customers including Leeds-based oilfield mapping business GETECH,

Netstore, GlaxoSmithKline Biologicals (Belgium), Andrew Winch Designs, Alliance Boots Healthcare, Admiral Insurance and 4D, saw turnover dip slightly to £2.176m from £2.3m the previous year

It is paying a dividend of 0.4p to add to an interim dividend of 0.25p.

It had £2.16m in the bank at the year end and plans to continue buying back up to 10% of its shares.

Mr Blaine said that he expects firms to put a greater emphasis on cost management during the downturn and Atlantic Global is well positioned to take advantage of that with sales of its new OnDemand product starting the year strongly.

Chairman Adrian Bradshaw added: “We believe that recent additions to our product range and delivery capability will enable the Group to enjoy continued success in 2009.”
