{"id":2137427,"date":"2025-04-08T16:01:23","date_gmt":"2025-04-08T15:01:23","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.thebusinessdesk.com\/yorkshire\/?p=2137427"},"modified":"2025-04-08T16:01:23","modified_gmt":"2025-04-08T15:01:23","slug":"pe-backed-power-firm-acquires-long-term-business-partner","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.thebusinessdesk.com\/yorkshire\/news\/2137427-pe-backed-power-firm-acquires-long-term-business-partner","title":{"rendered":"PE-backed power firm acquires long term business partner"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"font-weight: 400\">Scarborough-based Dale Power Solutions has bought its long-term business partner, Calibre Power Electronics.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\">Dale Power Solutions said the acquisition of Aberdeen-based Calibre Power Electronics will boost its presence in the Scottish market and deepens its offshore oil and gas expertise.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\">The company is supported by private equity firm, NVM, which invested \u00a39m when it backed a management buyout in 2018, and has been on a transformational journey during the last three years under the leadership of CEO Gavin Hepburn.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\">The acquisition marks a significant milestone in both companies&#8217; ongoing growth and evolution, which is timely as Dale celebrates its 90th anniversary this year.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\">Calibre Power Electronics has been a trusted provider of UPS replacement and maintenance services to the oil and gas industry since 2000. With a team of highly skilled engineers, Calibre has extensive experience in offshore installations, ensuring compliance with Health and Safety standards and offshore culture.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\">Dale provides critical backup power for infrastructure, commercial, industrial and public sectors, including Erskine UPS systems, Generators, and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS).<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\">Hepburn said: \u201cWe will continue to honour the legacy of Calibre Power Electronics, which will remain a key brand within Dale Power Solutions while building on the momentum of strong growth and exciting opportunities across various market sectors.
