{"id":2140148,"date":"2025-06-12T07:40:55","date_gmt":"2025-06-12T06:40:55","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.thebusinessdesk.com\/yorkshire\/?p=2140148"},"modified":"2025-06-12T07:40:55","modified_gmt":"2025-06-12T06:40:55","slug":"abingdon-health-wins-european-test-contract","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.thebusinessdesk.com\/yorkshire\/news\/2140148-abingdon-health-wins-european-test-contract","title":{"rendered":"Abingdon Health wins European test contract"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"font-weight: 400\">Rapid test manufacturer Abington Health has won a \u20ac2m contract with a European biotech company for the continued development and regulatory approval of a companion diagnostic lateral flow point of care test<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\">Following the successful completion of the feasibility stage, the company has signed a master service agreement which covers the optimisation, scale-up, technical transfer and manufacturing of the completed product.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\">Abingdon said contract win underlines the strength of its contract development and manufacturing organisation (CDMO) offering which provides customers with comprehensive support to take an \u2018idea through to commercial success\u2019.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\">The recent acquisitions of IVDeology and CS Lifesciences, combined with the launch of Abingdon Analytical, has allowed Abingdon to complement its existing lateral flow development and manufacturing capabilities with a full performance evaluation, quality and regulatory service offering supported by its 45-strong regulatory team.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400\">Dr Chris Hand, executive chairman of Abingdon Health, said: &#8220;We are delighted to announce this new contract win which underlines the strength of our fully integrated CDMO service offering. Our approach is to offer customers a complete diagnostic solution; from concept to commercial success and we are pleased to see this resonating well with customers as evidenced by this contract win.
