Revenue and profits at tour operator Jet2 have hit record levels as demand for its package holidays and leisure flights soar.<\/p>\n
The Leeds-based group said revenue in the 12 months to end of March rose 15% to \u00a37.2bn, while pre-tax profit was up 12% \u00a3593m.<\/p>\n
Jet2 said it continues to make good progress with its growth strategy with flight-only passengers 18% to 6.62m, white its package holiday customers rose 8% to 6.58m. In total passenger numbers were up 12% on FY24<\/p>\n
Earlier this year Jet2 launched a \u00a3250m share buyback programme which is now 35% complete.<\/p>\n
Jet2 CEO Steve Heapy said: \u201cThese results reaffirm the enduring appeal, resilience and differentiation of our product offering founded on end-to-end customer care, all of which help to create cherished holiday memories for our customers. The strength of our proposition, delivered by colleagues who provide award-winning customer first service, will enable us to fulfil our long-term strategy: To be the UK’s leading and best leisure travel business.\u201d<\/p>\n
The group added that while bookings for Summer 2025 continue to be made closer to departure bookings remain strong, and it is trading in line with expectations.<\/p>\n
The board declared a final dividend of 12.1p per share, an increase of 13%,<\/p>\n
