Shares in technical plastics manufacturer, Carclo, will be suspended from next month after the group revealed a delay in its audited accounts.<\/p>\n

The Ossett-based company said its auditor, Forvis Mazars, had informed the Audit Committee that it requires additional time to complete its audit procedures for the year ended 31 March 2025.<\/p>\n

In a statement Carlco said: \u201cThe Group is disappointed with this situation and is working with Forvis Mazars to ensure that the audit is completed as soon as possible. To date, Carclo has not been informed of any significant audit issues affecting the group’s consolidated financial statements.\u201d<\/p>\n

Carclo said because of the delay it expects that its shares will be suspended from listing and trading from 1 August 2025 until the audit is completed and the 2025 annual report and accounts are published.<\/p>\n

In early trading, its share fell 8% to 44p<\/p>\n

The group added that it \u2018recognises the importance of timely financial reporting and remains committed to restoring its usual reporting timetable going forward\u2019. An audit tender process is currently underway and expects to make an announcement before the 2025 AGM.<\/p>\n

In an update to the market, the group’s trading performance for the year ended 31 March 2025 \u2018exceeded management expectations\u2019, with strong margin expansion in the second half.<\/p>\n

Net debt closed at \u00a319.3m, a significant reduction of \u00a310.2m compared to the \u00a329.5m last year, reinforcing the group’s \u2018financial resilience and strategic flexibility\u2019.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
