Chemical giant Croda International said its cost efficiency and investment programmes have helped boost profits and sales in the first half.<\/p>\n

In the six months to 30 June 2025, sales were up 7% to \u00a3855.8m while pre-tax profits increased by 8.4% to \u00a3138m.<\/p>\n

The Goole-based company said good progress with operational efficiency programme contributed around \u00a310m benefits in first half year. Croda has increased its annualised cost savings target by \u00a360m to \u00a3100m by end of 2027 through efficiencies in production, procurement and enabling functions<\/p>\n

Croda said sales across all divisions has increased particularly in its fragrance and flavours division, with a 17% increase, while its life science business saw sales rise by 9%.<\/p>\n

Steve Foots, chief executive officer, said: \u201cOur performance in the first half was in line with our expectations at the start of the year. Higher sales in all businesses and regions reflect improved volumes in beauty care and crop protection, as well as another period of strong growth in fragrance and flavours.<\/p>\n

\u201cOur actions are helping us navigate a challenging environment, simplifying and modernising our business, and supporting our efforts to enhance margins. We have identified a further \u00a360m of cost savings, taking the total to \u00a3100m of annualised savings by the end of 2027. There is much more to do but our strategic and operational focus is creating a stronger platform for further progress and our outlook for the full year is unchanged.\u201d<\/p>\n

Croda International expects to deliver adjusted profit before tax between \u00a3265m and \u00a3295m in full year 2025 at constant currency.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
