{"id":2145037,"date":"2025-10-14T07:51:36","date_gmt":"2025-10-14T06:51:36","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.thebusinessdesk.com\/yorkshire\/?p=2145037"},"modified":"2025-10-14T07:51:36","modified_gmt":"2025-10-14T06:51:36","slug":"gear4music-hits-half-year-high-note","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.thebusinessdesk.com\/yorkshire\/news\/2145037-gear4music-hits-half-year-high-note","title":{"rendered":"Gear4music hits half year high note"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Online musical instrumental retailer Gear4music has unveiled a bumper first half and has further raised profit expectations for the full year.<\/p>\n<p>In a market update, the company said in the six months ending 30 September 2025, total revenues jumped 31% year-on-year to \u00a380.7m<strong>.<\/strong> UK revenues and European and \u2018rest of the world\u2019 revenues both delivered 31% growth, reaching \u00a349.6m and \u00a331.1m respectively.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"615\" data-end=\"945\">The York-based company said that EBITDA is set to more than double, with management guiding to \u2018not less than \u00a36.5m\u2019, against the prior year\u2019s \u00a32.9m. Gear4music has upgraded its full-year outlook and now sees FY26 EBITDA of \u2018not less than \u00a313.7m\u2019, putting it ahead of market expectations<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1247\" data-end=\"1652\">Gear4music&#8217;s executive chair, Andrew Wass, said: \u201cThis robust performance reflects the clear benefits of our refreshed growth strategy, including enhanced marketing capabilities and improved inventory availability, alongside a more favourable competitive environment across both our UK and European markets.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAlthough the critical peak trading period is still ahead, the strength of year-to-date trading gives the board further confidence to again raise its expectations for the group&#8217;s financial performance for the year ending 31 March 2026, following the upgrades announced in June 2025 and September 2025.<\/p>\n<p>The group will report Interim results for the six months ended 30 September 2025 on 18 November
