{"id":2145159,"date":"2025-10-16T07:56:29","date_gmt":"2025-10-16T06:56:29","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.thebusinessdesk.com\/yorkshire\/?p=2145159"},"modified":"2025-10-16T07:56:29","modified_gmt":"2025-10-16T06:56:29","slug":"croda-sales-edge-up-as-chemicals-giant-targets-100m-cost-savings-by-2027","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.thebusinessdesk.com\/yorkshire\/news\/2145159-croda-sales-edge-up-as-chemicals-giant-targets-100m-cost-savings-by-2027","title":{"rendered":"Croda sales edge up as chemicals giant targets \u00a3100m cost savings by 2027"},"content":{"rendered":"<p data-start=\"81\" data-end=\"319\">Croda International has reported a modest rise in third-quarter sales as the specialty chemicals company continues to push ahead with a major cost-saving drive aimed at delivering \u00a3100m in annualised savings by 2027.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"321\" data-end=\"516\">The Goole-based company said sales for the three months to September 2025 reached \u00a3424.7m, up 4.4% from a year earlier, or 6.5% at constant currency.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"518\" data-end=\"759\">By division, consumer care &#8211; which includes ingredients for personal care, beauty and health products &#8211; delivered sales of \u00a3241.6m, up 5.9%, while life sciences rose 3.9% to \u00a3133.8m and industrial specialties achieved \u00a349.3m, a slight decrease of 0.8%.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"761\" data-end=\"1068\">Croda said it remains on track to realise \u00a325m in cost savings this year, with a larger transformation programme set to generate \u00a3100m in annualised savings by the end of 2027. The initiative includes streamlining operations, optimising manufacturing networks and improving procurement efficiency.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1070\" data-end=\"1296\">Despite what it described as a \u201cchallenging environment,\u201d the company said its full-year 2025 outlook remains unchanged, with adjusted pre-tax profits expected to come in between \u00a3265m and \u00a3295m at constant currency.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1298\" data-end=\"1510\">Management added that the recovery in key end markets, including beauty and crop protection, continues to be gradual but improving, supported by easing customer destocking and a more stable pricing environment.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1512\" data-end=\"1712\">Croda\u2019s cost reduction plans and ongoing focus on high-value sectors such as life sciences are central to its long-term growth strategy following a period of weaker demand across industrial markets.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1714\" data-end=\"1965\" data-is-last-node=\"\" data-is-only-node=\"\">The company said it remains confident in its ability to deliver sustainable earnings growth, supported by strong cash generation and disciplined capital allocation, as it
