\u00a0Harwood has spent around \u00a311m increasing its stake in the veterinary pharmaceuticals business, which is listed on London\u2019s AIM market.<\/p>\n
A regulatory filing confirmed that the threshold was crossed,\u00a0marking a substantial rise from Harwood\u2019s previous 9.9% holding.<\/p>\n
The investment firm is now entitled to 11,450,500 voting rights, held through a combination of vehicles including Oryx International Growth Fund Limited (9.42%), Harwood Capital LLP (0.29%), and the North Atlantic Smaller Companies Investment Trust Plc (6.89%).<\/p>\n
There are no voting rights held through financial instruments.<\/p>\n
Animalcare, which develops and supplies veterinary medicines and pet health products across Europe, has attracted increasing investor attention in recent months amid steady trading performance and growth in companion animal healthcare.<\/p>\n
Harwood Capital, founded by well-known fund manager Christopher Mills, has a long history of investing in small and mid-cap UK-listed companies, often taking significant positions to support long-term strategic growth.<\/p>\n
Following the latest transaction, Harwood becomes one of Animalcare\u2019s largest shareholders, strengthening its influence ahead of the company\u2019s next trading update.<\/p>\n
