Business Beats Cancer has revealed the winners of its inaugural ultimate hybrid fitness and fundraising challenge.<\/p>\n
Held at Elevate Hyrox Centre in Wakefield, the event brought together teams from across the Yorkshire business community for a high-energy, high-impact day of fitness, fundraising and fierce but friendly competition.<\/p>\n
The teams raised more than \u00a332,000 in total, with all money from the event supporting Cancer Research UK\u2019s life-saving work in Yorkshire.<\/p>\n
Following the intense two-hour Hyrox-style challenge, in first place was a team made up of Business Beats Cancer Yorkshire board member David Boulton alongside colleagues Henry Spencer, David Hennessy and Paul Osbourne from Wakefield-based BPI. Sheffield-headquartered OSL Group Holdings was second with Leeds-based Aberfield Communications third.<\/p>\n
The event saw 20 four-person teams take on four 25-minute fitness blocks, each themed around a compass point of Yorkshire. From rowing machines and wall balls to kettlebell swings and synchronised squats, participants gave it their all, with every rep and pound raised contributing to their final score.<\/p>\n
Amanda O\u2019Neill, deputy chair of Business Beats Cancer Yorkshire, said: \u201cWe have been blown away by the energy, commitment and generosity shown by every single person who took part. This event was about more than just fitness; it was about community, collaboration and making a real difference in the fight against cancer.<\/p>\n
