Synectics has capped a year of solid progress with a strong uplift in revenues, profits and dividends as the AIM-listed security and surveillance specialist advances a major strategic transformation.<\/p>\n
The Sheffield-headquartered group said revenue for the year to 30 November 2025 is expected to rise to around \u00a368m, up from \u00a355.8m last year, while adjusted EBITDA is forecast at \u00a38.5m and adjusted profit before tax at no less than \u00a36m. The performance was boosted by the successful delivery of a significant, non-recurring gaming contract in South-East Asia, worth approximately \u00a312m.<\/p>\n
Despite the completion of that contract, which had previously underpinned the order book, Synectics ended the year with orders of \u00a326.5m. The group said some projects, particularly in oil and gas, have been pushed back by global economic conditions, although demand across core markets remains resilient.<\/p>\n
Cash generation was a standout feature of the year, with Synectics reporting a record cash balance of \u00a314.1m at year end. The board said this provides firepower to fund increased investment and explore selective acquisition opportunities aligned with its long-term strategy.<\/p>\n
Reflecting confidence in future prospects, the board has recommended a final dividend of 2.8p per share, lifting the total dividend for the year by 11% to 5.0p.<\/p>\n
Chief executive Amanda Larnder said FY25 marked an important step in the group\u2019s evolution, as it transitions from a bespoke, project-led business to a more scalable, product-led software platform with a clearer sector focus and partner-centric global reach. New leadership appointments have been made to support delivery of the transformation, which is aimed at driving higher margins and improving the quality of revenue.<\/p>\n
Looking ahead, Synectics said FY26 will reflect the absence of the one-off gaming contract, alongside increased investment to support growth.
