Aptamer Group has reported a strong first half performance, with revenues rising 27% as the AIM-listed life sciences business accelerates its shift towards a recurring, licensing-led revenue model.<\/p>\n
The York-based developer of next-generation synthetic binders said revenues for the six months to 31 December 2025 reached \u00a30.83m, up from \u00a30.65m a year earlier, giving the board confidence that full-year revenues will materially exceed the prior year.<\/p>\n
The group has secured more than \u00a32m of new fee-for-service contracts for FY26, around 70% of which is expected to be recognised this year, alongside a strong sales pipeline worth \u00a33.1m. Aptamer said the continued conversion and replenishment of its pipeline demonstrates its ability to turn opportunities into contracted revenue.<\/p>\n
Strategically, the period marked significant progress in commercialising its intellectual property through licensing. In December, Aptamer signed two non-exclusive licensing agreements with Twist Bioscience and Alphazyme, part of Maravai LifeSciences, generating upfront payments and future milestone, royalty and manufacturing income. First commercial sales are expected in the second half.<\/p>\n
The group is also in advanced negotiations to license a vitamin B9 Optimer\u00ae for global diagnostics, while a further enzyme manufacturer continues to evaluate its hot-start PCR technology.<\/p>\n
Aptamer said it continues to deepen relationships with blue-chip partners, including Unilever and several top-tier pharmaceutical companies, highlighted by \u00a3719,000 of new contracts from a single top five pharma customer during the period.<\/p>\n
