Spanish manufacturer Romar Global Care has acquired a majority stake in Yorkshire household products supplier, Purity Global.<\/p>\n
The deal is designed to strengthen Romar Global Care\u2019s position in the UK grocery and discount markets and create a scaled European supply platform spanning homecare and personal care categories.<\/p>\n
Hull-based Purity Global, founded in 2004, supplies a broad range of value-led household cleaning products, including dishwasher tablets, rinse aids, dishwasher salt, laundry detergents and gels, fabric conditioners and fragrance boosters.<\/p>\n
Its products are sold in major multiples including Tesco, Sainsbury\u2019s, Asda, Morrisons and Waitrose, as well as leading discounters and wholesalers such as Home Bargains, B&M, The Range, Poundland, Savers, Heron Foods, Costco and Booker.<\/p>\n
Purity is best known for its Crystale brand in the automatic dishwasher market, alongside its Enrituals fragrance-led laundry range and a wide portfolio of private-label and exclusive-brand products developed for UK retailers.<\/p>\n
Under the transaction, Valencia-based Romar Global Care, backed by ACON Investments and DeA Capital, takes a controlling stake in the business, combining Purity\u2019s UK commercial relationships and category expertise with Romar\u2019s large-scale manufacturing capability. Romar operates a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Valencia, producing homecare, personal care, aerosol, suncare and lifestyle products for European retail customers.<\/p>\n

The combined business is targeting growth across homecare, personal care and fragrance-led categories, with plans already underway for new category launches, deeper customer collaboration and further investment in manufacturing capacity.<\/p>\n
A team from Grant Thornton Corporate Finance, including Jim Whittaker and Ammen Arya, acted as lead advisors to the shareholders of Purity Global. Other advisers to Purity included Gosschalks (legal: Nigel Beckwith and James Messenger) and BHP (tax: Tom Roseff).<\/p>\n
