IPF Parent Holdings has raised its recommended offer for International Personal Finance Plc to 250p per share, including a 15p special dividend.<\/p>\n
The revised cash deal of 235p per share is conditional on court approval and shareholder consent at meetings scheduled next month, with completion now expected by the end of June.<\/p>\n
The offer represents a premium of around 40% to IPF\u2019s closing share price of 179.2 pence on 29 July 2025, the last business day prior to the start of the original offer period.<\/p>\n
Elsewhere, Leeds-based lender reported another year of solid delivery, with pre-exceptional profit before tax of \u00a388.6m for 2025, up from \u00a385.2m in last year, underpinned by strong operational performance and continued progress on its next gen strategy.<\/p>\n
Customer numbers rose 4.7% to 1.7 million, supported by robust demand and an expanded product set, while customer lending and closing net receivables increased by 11.8% and 13.9%, respectively. All three divisions contributed to growth, with credit quality remaining strong and impairment rates improving to 9.0% from 9.6% the previous year.<\/p>\n
The Group also highlighted a strong funding and capital position, with \u00a3129m in headroom across undrawn facilities and non-operational cash balances, alongside an equity-to-receivables ratio of 51%, supporting both growth and a progressive dividend policy.<\/p>\n
IPF said it plans to invest an additional \u00a35m per year in new initiatives over the next two to three years to strengthen medium-term performance.<\/p>\n
