Profits at Genuit have surged by more than a quarter as the Leeds-based group delivered a robust set of results despite tough market conditions.<\/p>\n
The sustainable water and climate solutions specialist has grown revenue as the business continued to gain market share and expand in sustainability-led sectors.<\/p>\n
The group reported revenue of \u00a3602.1m for the year to 31 December 2025, up 7.3% from \u00a3561.3m in 2024. On a like-for-like basis, revenue increased 3.2%.<\/p>\n
Underlying operating profit rose 2.4% to \u00a394.4m, although the underlying operating margin fell to 15.7% from 16.4%, reflecting higher costs including increases to National Insurance and the National Living Wage.<\/p>\n
Pre-tax climbed 25.7% to \u00a358.2m, while basic earnings per share increased 34.8% to 18.2p.<\/p>\n
Chief executive Joe Vorih said the group had delivered growth despite challenging market conditions. \u201cGenuit has again demonstrated its ability to grow and outperform in challenging markets. Against a backdrop of subdued market activity, we delivered organic revenue growth driven by the adoption of new solutions in structurally attractive segments and targeted market share gains.\u201d<\/p>\n
He added that the business had maintained profit growth despite cost pressures. \u201cWe grew underlying profits year-on-year despite cost headwinds from National Insurance and National Living Wage increases. This reflects operational actions taken through the year, the growing impact of the Genuit Business System and the contribution from recent bolt-on acquisitions.\u201d<\/p>\n
During the second half of the year, the group completed the acquisitions of Monodraught and Davidson Holdings, which it said would strengthen its product offering and become margin accretive in 2026.<\/p>\n
Across the business units, climate management solutions saw revenue increase 10.7% to \u00a3178.9m, supported by strong growth in ventilation products. Sustainable building solutions reported revenue growth of 6.5% to \u00a3246.8m, driven by market share gains in drainage products and growth in commercial markets.<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, water management solutions recorded revenue of \u00a3169.5m, up 5.3%, although underlying operating profit fell due to cost pressures and inventory provisions earlier in the year.<\/p>\n
The group has also simplified its structure, bringing its operations together into two divisions: water and climate. The water division will combine water distribution and drainage solutions, while the climate division will focus on ventilation and heating products supporting more sustainable buildings.<\/p>\n
The board has proposed a full-year dividend of 12.9p per share, up 3.2%.<\/p>\n
