Fintel has reported a strong set of full-year results in a \u201cdefining year\u201d marked by a major organisational overhaul and continued investment in technology and data capabilities, as it positions itself for further growth in 2026.<\/p>\n
Huddersfield-based Fintel said it has also entered into a non-legally binding heads of terms for a 50:50 joint venture with Intellect Design Arena to develop and commercialise an AI-led financial advisory platform for the UK market. Both parties are expected to invest up to \u00a35m, combining Fintel\u2019s UK market expertise and customer relationships with Intellect\u2019s AI-first technology to target growing demand for digitally enabled advice solutions.<\/p>\n
The fintech and support services provider saw revenue rise 10% to \u00a385.9m for the year ended 31 December 2025, up from \u00a378.3m the previous year, with \u00a37m of that growth driven by acquisitions.<\/p>\n
Recurring income remains a key strength, with SaaS and subscription revenues climbing 9.6% to \u00a348.7m and now accounting for 57% of total revenues.<\/p>\n
Profitability also improved, with adjusted EBITDA increasing 16.6% to \u00a325.9m, while margins expanded to 30.1% from 28.3%, reflecting the growing contribution and integration of acquired businesses.<\/p>\n
Chief executive Matt Timmins said the results reflect the progress made in simplifying the business and investing in its long-term growth strategy.<\/p>\n
\u201c2025 has been a defining year for Fintel, creating a simpler, more unified and scalable platform that sets the foundation for the next phase of our growth,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
During the year, the group continued to invest heavily across its technology, data and distribution capabilities, alongside executing a targeted acquisition strategy. This included the purchase of Rayner Spencer Mills Research for an initial \u00a36.4m, which contributed \u00a33.4m in revenue and \u00a31.1m in EBITDA during the period.<\/p>\n
Despite increased investment, Fintel\u2019s balance sheet remains robust. Net debt stood at \u00a331.1m at year-end, equivalent to a leverage ratio of 1.2x, while cash reserves increased significantly to \u00a317.3m.<\/p>\n
Timmins added that Fintel is well positioned to capitalise on increasing demand for technology, data and regulatory support across the UK retail financial services sector.<\/p>\n
