Abingdon Health has secured a suite of contracts worth\u00a0 \u00a34.8m with a US-based client to develop and manufacture advanced multiplex diagnostic tests.<\/p>\n

The York-headquartered company said the agreements span around 27 months and will cover the full lifecycle of product development\u2014from feasibility and regulatory planning through to large-scale manufacturing. The work will be delivered in milestone-driven packages, with potential for extended collaboration, including a future role as legal manufacturer.<\/p>\n

The contracts centre on multiplex quantitative lateral flow assays capable of measuring multiple biomarkers simultaneously in human samples\u2014an increasingly important capability in modern diagnostics as healthcare systems demand faster, more comprehensive testing solutions.<\/p>\n

Execution of the programme will draw on Abingdon\u2019s transatlantic infrastructure, including its manufacturing facilities in York, UK, and Madison, Wisconsin. The company will also deploy its specialist regulatory arms, CS Lifesciences and IVDeology, alongside analytical and clinical evaluation services from its Doncaster-based Abingdon Analytical division.<\/p>\n

The win underscores Abingdon\u2019s strategy to position itself as a fully integrated CDMO\/CRO partner in the rapid diagnostics and med-tech space\u2014offering clients a single pathway from concept to commercialisation.<\/p>\n

Chairman Chris Hand<\/span><\/span> said the deal reflects growing market recognition of the company\u2019s end-to-end capabilities.<\/p>\n
